We are Rein and Robin, documentary filmmakers from Amsterdam.

Three years ago, we were approached to create a wedding film. Our initial response? “We’ll never do that.” To us, every wedding film we had seen felt the same: slow, dramatic, staged and without a real story. It was as if there were these unwritten rules dictating how a wedding film should look and feel.

That contrasts so wildly with how we experienced weddings. We felt the buzz. People are laughing, crying, dancing, drinking and celebrating with the people they love. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime rollercoaster ride that you never want to end. It’s a cliche, but boy does it go fast. You wish you could stay inside that bubble forever. Time machines don’t exist, but a camera does a pretty good job at capturing moments you want to last forever.

We are after energy, atmosphere, and emotion. The story always comes first, not performances or trends. You will spend so much time planning the event of your lifetime, and you’ll want to relive it again and again: together, with family and friends, and perhaps one day with future generations. When you do, we want you to smell the food, hear the laughter and feel the love.

We've celebrated love with people from all walks of life, musicians, entrepreneurs, fellow filmmakers, athletes, and actors. Most recently, we had the honor of filming the wedding of Dua Lipa and Callum Turner, something we're incredibly proud of and grateful to have been trusted with. Being able to tell their story in our own way, inspired by classic cinematography, documentary filmmaking, and a whole lot of nostalgia, is something we don't take for granted.

We're still in the middle of a never ending experiment, constantly exploring new ideas with every story we tell. To keep that curiosity alive, and to give every couple the time, care, and attention their story deserves, we intentionally limit ourselves to around ten weddings each year.
